FULL TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Medical Assistants (MA) will partner with the providers of ENT Specialists to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. ENT Specialists is seeking an experienced MA candidate interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•   The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.

• The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.

• The Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.

• The Medical Assistant will assist the physician in office-based surgeries and must know sterile techniques, and how to assist during a medical procedure.

• The Medical Assistant will be cross trained over time in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.

• The MA Lead will assign a weekly schedule not to exceed 40 hours

• The schedule may be between the hours of 7AM to 7PM.

• The schedule may be 5 days including Monday to Friday.

• The Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Certified MA

• 2 years of experience

• Current CPR Certification required

• Bilingual required

• Plastic Surgery or Dermatology Experience (Preferred)

• EMR systems: 1 year (eCW Preferred)

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred

• Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred

• Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT

All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

WAGE

$18-20.00/hr
