About The Role

Construction Intern

The Construction Intern will work alongside our construction team to gain practical project management and field construction experience. This position supports construction operations by assisting with a variety of tasks under supervision, providing exposure to both office and field environments.

Position Logistics

  • Primary Work Location: West Fargo, ND - Corporate Office
  • Work Environment: On-Site
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | Standard Hours
  • Work Type: Internship (Full time hours with flexibility)
  • Internship Duration: Summer 2026 (May-August)

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Enclave business policies.
  • Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoicing, contracts and change orders.
  • Develop a first-hand understanding of job site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.
  • Participate in on-site inspections, meetings, and safety briefings.
  • Assist with project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Support estimating and bidding activities by gathering data and preparing takeoffs.
  • Conduct research on construction methods, materials, and regulations as needed.
  • Monitor and document construction work in progress; interface with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assist with material quantity takeoffs and evaluate contractor cost proposals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • All employees are responsible for the general upkeep of work and shared spaces
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required of all employees

We're Seeking Individuals Who

  • Demonstrate general knowledge of construction project management principles, including estimating techniques and cost-control methods
  • Are capable of performing basic mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of employees
  • Possess working knowledge of technologies, including computer and online software such as Microsoft Office Suites
  • Are able to read and understand simple blueprints and technical procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Must be actively enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management or Project Management or related major
