Job Description
Overview The Researcher is a key member of KW2’s Research & Insights team, responsible for designing and executing primary research that drives real-world action. This role supports clients across KW2’s client verticals—higher education, public health, and workforce development—by uncovering insights that inform strategy, creative, and behavior-change campaigns.
You’ll plan, manage, and execute quantitative and qualitative research—from methodology design and recruitment through analysis, reporting, and client presentation. You’ll partner closely with KW2 Strategists and Account service team members to connect findings to meaningful next steps, ensuring our work doesn’t just inform but inspires.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead discovery with clients to identify goals, develop research hypotheses, and recommended methodologies and audiences
- Develop and execute research plans across methodologies including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods
- Design surveys, discussion guides, screeners, and other research instruments
- Lead participant recruitment and manage relationships with panels and sample providers
- Conduct interviews, focus groups, and usability or message testing
- Program and analyze surveys using the Qualtrics research platform
- Analyze and synthesize data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategy and creative development
- Create compelling, visually engaging client reports and presentations
- Present research findings directly to clients and collaborate with KW2 Strategists and Account teams to translate insights into next steps
- Utilize emerging research tools and methods; experience with Outset.ai, CoLoop, or other AI-driven qualitative tools is a plus
- Support new business efforts by contributing research perspectives and insights
Qualifications - 7–10 years of applied research experience (agency, higher education, or consulting background preferred)
- Proven ability to manage research projects from start to finish—planning, recruitment, execution, analysis, and reporting
- Experience in both quantitative (survey design, data analysis) and qualitative (interviews, focus groups, ethnography, or digital) research
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data and derive strategic insights that inform marketing and communications decisions
- Hands-on experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms preferred
- Experience working with research panels or participant recruitment platforms
- Familiarity with data visualization and storytelling tools (PowerPoint, Excel, and BI tools)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with client- or leadership-facing experience
- Curiosity, creativity, and a collaborative mindset

This remote position is available to U.S. residents only. Wisconsin and Minnesota residents preferred, but other locations will be considered.
